Md. Uzzal Hossain has been working as a faculty member in the Department of Botany, University of Barishal, Barishal-8254, Bangladesh since March, 2016 after graduated from Department of Botany of the University of Dhaka, Dhaka-1000, Bangladesh in the year of 2014. Research interests encompasses Plant Cytogenetics, Plant Molecular Biology, Plant Taxonomy, Ethnobotany, Phytochemistry and Sustainable Crop-Botany with emphasized on bridging classical botany with modern biotechnological tools to address different challenges related to Plant Science. Furthermore, research trajectory reflects a deep commitment to advancing plant science through integrative and interdisciplinary approaches. A number of research articles in different national and international peer-reviewed journals have antecedently published. In addition, different national and international fellowships and scholarships have already been credited for previous outstanding academic and professional records. Moreover, scholarly discourse presented to both national and international conferences. Besides, multiple number of research projects funded from the University authority, Ministry of Science and Technology and Bangladesh university grants commission (UGC), Government of the people's republic of Bangladesh have in advance showcased. Apart from academics and research, Md. Uzzal Hossain is involved with many scientific and profession affiliated bodies named Bangladesh Botanical Society (BBS), Prokriti and Jibon Foundation and Asiatic Society of Bangladesh (ASB).
