Short Biography:
Dr. Halima Bagum is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Barishal, Bangladesh. She obtained her DPhil in Organic Chemistry from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom in 2019. She has extensive experience in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research students. She currently serves as the Sub-Project Manager of a HEAT-funded research initiative investigating microplastic pollution along the coastal regions of Bangladesh. Her broader academic interests encompass chemistry education, research mentorship, laboratory infrastructure development, and interdisciplinary scientific investigations.
