Short Biography:
Sudipa Basu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Barishal. She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies in the Department of Economics at the Islamic University, Bangladesh. She holds an MSS in Economics from the same institution. Her research focuses on climate change, migration, adaptation strategies, and rural development, with particular emphasis on the socio-economic vulnerabilities of coastal communities in Bangladesh.
She has published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the International Journal of Environmental Studies and the Barishal University Journal. Her recent research projects funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh examine community-based adaptation, integrated fish polyculture, and the livelihood challenges faced by climate-induced migrants in coastal regions.
Committed to advancing applied research on environmental change and development, she has also presented her work at national and international academic conferences.
