Research Profile
Short Biography:
Md. Ohidur Zaman is a Doctoral Fellow in Sociology at the University of Lucknow, India, with a strong academic background in Sociology. He holds a Master's degree in Sociology from Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Bangladesh, where he graduated with the first position. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the University of Barishal, Bangladesh, where he has taught courses such as Social Statistics, Research Methodology, and Contemporary & Postmodern Sociological Theories since 2016.
Zaman's research centers on community resilience, natural resource management, disaster management, and socio-environmental issues. He has supervised several master's theses and led research projects focusing on contemporary socio-ecological challenges.
Beyond academia, Zaman is actively involved in volunteer work, serving as Treasurer of the Barishal University Teachers' Association and other organizations. His dedication to education and research underscores his commitment to addressing pressing societal challenges.
