Short Biography:
Dr. Syed Ashik – E – Elahi was awarded his PhD from CHSR, BUP in 2025. He has completed his B.S.S. (Honors) and M.S.S. in Sociology from Dhaka University in 2004 and 2005, respectively. At present, Ashik Elahi is serving as an Associate Professor of Sociology at Barishal University (BU). He has over fifteen years of experience as an academician, and he has established himself as a compassionate faculty member from the beginning. During the academic journey he has published eighteen national and international journal articles, two book chapters, and several magazine and newspaper writings. He has also presented papers at several national and international conferences and symposiums. Moreover, he participated in poster presentation at a conference. As per academic commitment he has completed six U.G.C. funded projects as the principal investigator. However, currently, he is working on another UGC and world bank funded project namely ATF. Besides academic activities, he has served as a director, Physical Education Center, a convener of self-assessment committee of the department of sociology, student advisor at the department, residence teacher at the Shere Bangla hall, and a member of Barishal University's Campus Beautification Committee. At present he is serving as a residence teacher of Bijoy-24 hall. The researcher also serving as an adviser to Research Nexus Bangladesh. Anyone can contact him at saelahi@bu.ac.bd.
