Short Biography:

Md. Al-Amin is a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at the University of Kentucky, USA, and an Associate Professor (currently on study leave) in the Department of Political Science at the University of Barishal, Bangladesh. His research focuses on digital authoritarianism, internet shutdowns, social movements, and the intersection of religion and politics. His broader research interests include political violence, democratic backsliding, contentious politics, and the political consequences of digital repression.
