Barishal University, 2 September 2026: The Inter-Departmental Swimming Competition-2026 was held on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Bangladesh Marine Academy, Barishal, with the participation of students from different departments of the University of Barishal. The competition was organized by the Office of Physical Education, University of Barishal.

The competition featured four swimming events—Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly—with a total of 44 students participating.

The Department of Management Studies demonstrated an exceptional performance in the competition, securing the highest number of awards among the participating departments. Students of the department achieved two championship titles and two runner-up positions.

Achievements of Management Studies Students

Thus, with four podium finishes, including two championship titles, the Department of Management Studies emerged as the highest award-winning department in this year's swimming competition.

The competition was inaugurated in the presence of Professor Dr. Md. Mamun-or-Rashid, Vice-Chancellor, University of Barishal, who emphasized the importance of sports in ensuring students' physical and mental development.
